This is OCA's newest courthouse, which just opened in February 2008 and been hailed by some as an architectural wonder.

Judge Ann Pfau will be our special guest introductory speaker. The panelists are: Justice Phyllis Skoot Bamberger, Chair City Bar Committee on Reform of the Town and Village Justice Courts; and David Fuller, Esq. Past President Of the State Magistrates Association.

Our panel will address what reforms are needed in New York State's small town justice courts where over 75% of the Village Justices ARE NOT lawyers. In 2006, the New York Times did a year long investigation of our state's town courts called: BROKEN BENCH. Various bar associations have made numerous recommendations and OCA is beginning to implement an action plan---but how quickly can they fix the broken bench?
