President’s Message – Holidays with Our Member Associations on December 5, 2017

As President of the Network of Bar Leaders, one of my goals this year has been to come out and spend time with each of our member associations – meeting your members and sharing ideas with one another. This is a busy time of year for all, and so far, the parties have been great! The best part of these events is seeing how many of our members belong to multiple associations, and come out to support each other. We are a non-partisan organization and it is truly uplifting to see the spirit of camaraderie and holiday spirit being shared by one and all!

We have enjoyed attending one another’s events, and putting the “Network” into action! May each of you celebrate the season with peace, joy, good health and most of all, lots of love!

We’d love to share your best holiday pictures – send them to us! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Season’s Greetings!

Warmest Regards,
Hilary Gingold, President, Network of Bar Leaders

2017 Hurricane and Disaster Relief Efforts

**Message from NoBL.** Due to a series of catastrophic events, from hurricanes in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico to the most recent horror, the mass shooting in Nevada, our country is in crisis. The Network of Bar Leaders supports its member organizations in their efforts to provide aid. We offer our prayers and our resources, as individuals in both our personal and professional capacities. We encourage all our members to participate, because it is through participation that those without a voice, or those who cannot be heard, are listened to. The challenge is not only to be heard, but to be united in listening to one another, to work towards common ground, and to serve the greater good – these are the values we cherish, and as members of Network, I truly believe that as one, we can and do, shape the world around us. Please let us know what you and/or your organization is doing to help – we will share it with the hope that your individual acts of kindness spread, and provide our fellow members with incentive to participate as well. Thank you all in advance.

— Sincerely, Hilary Gingold, President of the Network of Bar Leaders

NoBL Attends the Puerto Rican Bar Association’s Annual Gala – October 20, 2017

We were delighted to attend the Puerto Rican Bar Association’s Annual gala on October 20, 2017, at Pier 60 in Chelsea Piers. Current PRBA President Carmen Pacheco and Immediate Past President Betty Lugo displayed their finest leadership and organizational skills at their magnificent gala. Attendees included countless members of the Federal and State benches, including the Honorable Rolando T. Acosta, Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department. Justice Acosta swore in NoBL’s officers and Board members in September of this year. Other attendees included Kaylin Whittingham (Association of Black Women Attorneys), Gloribelle Perez (Dominican Bar Association), Honorable Lizbeth Gonzalez (Past President of NoBL), and many of our other great bar leader friends.

NoBL Attends the Bronx Bar Association’s 115th Annual Installation Dinner – October 4, 2017

The Bronx Bar Association 115th Installation Gala was held on October 4, 2017 at at Marina del Rey in the Bronx. The view of the river could not compete with the stellar turnout for incoming Bronx Bar President Daniel D. Cassidy. Of course, Administrative Judge of Bronx County – Honorable McKeon, Administrative Judge Silver and Presiding Justice Acosta, Judge Canatarro and Judge Billings were there along with many others from the Judiciary to help celebrate. Noteworthy is how the entire Bronx Court Community has been donating towards a collection for Puerto Rico – from baby formula to batteries and toiletries. A very generous financial donation was also made. Proud to be part of this community! Great to see our member bar leaders show support to one another – Michael McNamara, President of NYCLA, Gregory J. Newman, President of QCBA, Stefanie Burns, President of Westchester Bar, Michael Miller, President-Elect, NYSBA, Pat Meisenheimer, President of Suffolk County Bar, and Hilary Gingold, President Network of Bar Leaders.
